Stop the Removal of Pilots

Amendment Denied!

The House of Representatives Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill (H.R. 4), Section 744, called for the FAA and NASA to develop "virtual copilot" aircraft for cargo operations with ground-based human or artificial intelligence support for single-piloted aircraft.

Congressman Matt Cartwright (PA-17) offered an amendment to remove Section 744 to retain the safety of our aircraft operations. This amendment was denied, and the fight moves to the Senate. Looks like politics and money are trumping safety.

When we remove pilots
and allow ground control
to fly our airplanes,
is the day that
anyone can hack into them.

Keep pilots in the Flight Deck
They are the Safety Net
